On the recent San Diego IPT we had a great afternoon of flight photography when the sun broke through on what had looked
like a totally overcast afternoon.  As the sun neared the horizon, I decided to make some intentionally blurred images rather than raising the ISO and trying to continue making sharp ones.  (I do realize that some folks will simply never like blurred images...)
Kudos to Linda (Ned Harris' wife) and Suzie (Grover Wrenn's wife) for a great job of gull feeding! )

Here is a more traditional image made earlier on the same afternoon.
I was thrilled to have this species respond to the bait (Vons ButterTop white bread) as they had never done so before.
I love using flash with flight even when the sun is out to bring out the underwing detail.

Best and great picture making to all,
Artie
