HOMER, ALASKA IPT WITH THE MASTERS!

 

Bald Eagle is one of the most sought after photographic subjects in North America, and Homer, Alaska is the place to photograph them.  Greg Downing and I will be co-leading two Instructional Photo-Tours to fabled Homer in February 2005.  While many of my former students (Cliff Beittel, Joanne Williams, LF Van Landingham, Gloria Hopkins & Todd Gustafson to name a few) have gone on to prominence in the  world of nature photography, none of them has made more images that inspire jealous envy in me than Greg Downing...  In addition, Gregory has developed into a fine instructor.  It was he and E.J Peiker who inspired me to get into digital photography in the first place, and both of them (among a cast of many) have been there all along teaching me the basics of digital photography and Photoshop.  About six months ago Greg and EJ and Greg's life-partner Heather Forcier founded Naturescapes.net which has quickly become the premier nature photography web site on the planet.

 

Daily digital slide programs and work sessions will give you a chance to pick the brains of two of the world's premier bird photographers while enjoying incredible eagle photography at the same time.  Here are the details:

THE CANON EOS 1D MARK II DIGITAL CAMERA

 

As most of you probably know, Canon recently announced the latest edition to its digital camera arsenal, the EOS 1 D MARK II.  With it's 8.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, 8.5 frames per second speed, 1.3X multiplier effect, higher AI Servo AF focusing precision, improved flash exposure, 1.5 to 10X LCD magnification, and maximum bursts of 20 frames in Raw Mode, this camera is, simply put, the premier wildlife and sports camera ever created.   I have ordered three of them.   As soon as I get my hands on one, you will hear from me again.
