I recently spent six days in Texas photographing
birds and wildlife with actress Valerie Wildman
who plays "Fay" in "The Days of Our Lives. With
the help of Barrett Productions, we shot two Canon
Photo Safari episodes. Valerie was an absolute
sweetie who loved the birds and may be seriously
hooked on bird photography; she is already a
Bulletin subscriber! We photographed on South
Padre Island, at Sabal Palm Sanctuary near
Brownsville, and at the wonderful Inn of the
Chachalaca in Los Fresnos where we stayed for
three nights. The inn is a truly special B&B that
would make for an ideal (and quite romantic) base
for birding trips to the Rio Grande Valley.
